Avast! Big Mack Needs Help!: 4-5 year olds

Context: This project took place over an 8-day period with Primary One (Reception). There were 50 children in one shared base. We were in the base for the whole of each day. There were 2 teachers full-time. Twice a week, a classroom assistant joined for the afternoon.

Important: The video was initially recorded for a previous training event. We have decided to include it as it gives a useful overview to the Padlet Design below. Towards the end, it briefly refers to Section 5 of the Training Website - this is the only part that is not relevant to you.

The Iconic Structures of Europe: 8-9 years old

Context: This project took place over a split 2-week period with 2 classes. The first week happened in August, with the second week in November. Each class had 30 children and a class teacher. We spent 1/2 day in each class - rotating mornings and afternoons. This enables any specific daily literacy/numeracy (etc) to happen during the 1/2 day session that we are not there.

October - December 2020: WDC Online Training

Key teachers and educators from across West Dunbartonshire formed nine cohorts to engage in our 'Designing for Project-Based Learning' online training in 2020/21. The training resulted in collaborative groups designing and uploading Mini-Projects to a shared resource area. They all connected to the council-wide interdisciplinary project: Back to the Future 2020.
Examples range from ELCC, Primary and Secondary.

Our best advice is to record your thinking in a way that makes sense to you. Some of you may prefer to use Padlet, Google Slides, Google Sites or your own planners.
