This training event will consist of a series of linked learning experiences which continue to be underpinned by the Five Key Concepts.
Participants must attend all three days.
Participants must attend all three days.
Step Three is designed to build upon the experiences of Step One and Two. It will engage practitioners in experiential learning, exploring first-hand the use of tools and processes that support the continued development and progression of a collaborative, problem-solving learning community. Throughout the training, guided reflection allows participants to consider the transfer of strategies to their specific setting. It explores how principles for curriculum design can be brought to life in real settings with real learners, enabling practitioners to further understand, inspire, challenge and unlock potential for learning. This training event will specifically focus in more depth on progression, assessment and connecting experiences.
Although Designing for Learning (DfL) can be applied throughout curriculum design, West Dunbartonshire has requested a specific focus on connecting DfL to IDL (Refreshed Narrative) and STEM.
Alongside this, it will support the focus on developing the WDC Competencies and Deep Learning. |
Designing for Learning Step Three: Awaiting confirmation for 2025 A 3-day event. An 'additional' 3-day event open to participants from cohorts who have completed both Step One & Two. Broad Theme: Overarching Design Principles, Progression and Assessment |
This will be an 'in-person' training event.
The training will contain a variety of different elements, including the opportunity to work individually and collaboratively whilst continuing to explore the Five Key Concepts. It will continue to be an experiential training event that incorporates a refreshed blended approach using online tools at particular, relevant points. You do not need to have previous knowledge of the online learning tools, just a willingness to engage with them. For those of you who attended training during 2021 - 2023, you will already be familiar with the online tools. However, we will still give full guidance during the training event - including access to areas of our Training Website which hold additional resources and materials. |
Before the training begins:
*Please note that the email containing the registration link will not be sent until a few weeks before the event takes place.* **All participants will need to register on the website, even if you have previously accessed it during Step One and Two as your membership will have deactivated.** |
We are looking forward to seeing you all again!
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions...or would just like to say hello!
